Fónaic Le Fís Leabhar B (Including Leabhrán Fuaime)
-Fónaic le Fís Leabhar B Revises 25 initial sounds as Gaeilge from Leabhar A,with it’s own engaging characters and songs.
-Introduces 12 new spelling patterns to expand children’s understanding of Irish phonetics.
-Teaches children how to use their phoneme knowledge to read and write decodable words.
-Teaches 30 irregularly spelled words using the ‘heartword approach’.

-Revises and consolidates the 37 spelling patterns taught in Fónaic le Fís A and B.
-Develops a deeper understanding of broad and slender consonants.
-Provides explicit instruction in lenited consonants (bh, ch, dh, fh etc.).
-Teaches new spelling patterns associated with the long vowels (ái, éa, iú, ói etc.).
-Includes a wide range of decodable texts to strengthen reading fluency and accuracy.
-Provides structured encoding opportunities to develop spelling and writing skills.
-Introduces simple grammar lessons to consolidate understanding of lenited consonants.
